The Westmount Karate Club (WKC) was founded by Ashraf Ismail and David Pinchuk in 1990
and is accredited by the Japan Karate Association (JKA).

WKC continues to serve the Montreal
community and is proud to say we have retained many of our students well beyond their initial
black-belt ranking where a few have even graduated to become WKC club instructors.

Almost all of our students have pursued higher academic degrees and hold prominent positions
in society, as engineers, doctors, business leaders and scientists. This in-part is due to
increased focus, and attention to detail, and mentoring from our instructors.

Our club hosted numerous national and international training camps and invited high ranking
instructors from across Canada, US, UK and Japan.
